Teardowns
I’ve always been interested in learning about how things function and what makes them work. This curiosity led me to begin performing teardowns to better understand how the objects that I enjoy using everyday have been designed and manufactured.
I think there is an under appreciated beauty to the internal components beneath the polished A-surfaces of the products that we use everyday. So much thought and attention goes into these products and yet most of it is rarely seen.
On this page I explore the internals of some of my favourite devices and accessories, specifically looking at the mechanical design, materials, and manufacturing processes that went into their making.
